Unknown aircraft part?
Hi, can you please help me to identify where this comes from? I am not even sure that it is from a German aircraft, could be US as well. Or even from a French Dewoitine 520. Some kind of hydraulics? distributor box, marked R8-3230-01, also 11912 bwo 311 b.4, letters Gr in oval frame, some other single numbers and letters. The small holes are numbered 1 to 10. Can you identify, from which aircraft is it? Or, at least can you identify the origin by the way it looks, aluminum with yellow-ish finish, can it point to German or US manufacture, or some other? It is 9 cm in length, that would be something like 3 inches and a half. Thank you very much in advance!

Re: Unknown aircraft part?
Hi Theodor,
the part is indeed german and belongs to the Bf109. It's the pressurized oil valve manifold for landing gear control. The part was delivered by EC-Cannstatt. It's mounted on the lower part of the MG131 belt box. |
