Hi Alain57, according to the excellent " Battle of France Then And Now" by
Peter Cornwell, he says between Tirlemont and Leuven.
He also says this a/c belonged to the Stab StG.2!
Rgs,
Steve.

Hello Rudi ,

Thanks for the reply , strange enough nobody in Koninksem ( Heemkundige Kring ) knows something about this crash.

Heemkundige Kring is the local historical society.

That wouldn't be the first time. These local historical societies are run by volunteers. Some are interested in WW2, some aren't.

You could try the town archive. Locals could go to the town hall and claim damaged or destroyed property in Belgium in 1940. If an a/c didn't damage any property or crops during an emergency landing then the removal of this a/c in most cases did. With any luck these claims are kept in the town's archives.

Regards,
Rudi.
