Identity of Luftwaffe Airman?

Hi,

Really enjoy posing these unanswerable queries as always amazed what is generated.

I have just bought a portrait photo of a luftwaffe airman in flying gear.

The script on the back says Heriberto - gefallen in air death on July 1944 night mission.

Can he be identified by his unusual surname.

Thanks

Rick

Dear Rick,

Heribert usually is a prename. Are You sure that in this case it's the surname of that guy?

Best Regards
Norbert

Rickback,
my suggestion is that his first name is HERBERT.
This should open quite a different search window.

Both Heribert & Heriberto are accepted Christian names
