Another attack on a U-boat, 19/09/44
 

Hi,
On the 18th September 1944 U867 was attacked off the Norwegian coast by Mosquitos from 248 and 235 Sqns. The U-boat was left in a damaged condition and unable to dive. The next day it was found by a 224 Sqn Liberator and sunk. I don't have an exact location or time.

Again I'm looking for details of the Liberators crew, serial number and code.

the Liberator´s code was "Q", pilot Flt Lt H. J. Rayner.
Kemp says, U 867 left Kristiansund on 12.9. and was damaged by a Liberator of 248. Sqn.
