More information:

After 1945, the Czechoslovak Air Force dealt with the issue of its armament. After complex considerations and a realistic assessment of the situation, the decision was made to arm the fighter air force with domestically produced aircraft. This is how the famous Avia S-199 and its training version CS-199 were created. It was a conversion of the successful German fighter Messerschmitt BF 109G. The 1st part describes the reasons for the creation of this design, its production and introduction into armament. The book is supplemented with colorful side views of the aircraft and a number of photos from the service and a preserved machine from the VHÚ museum. Part 2 and describes the armament of the S/CS-199 aircraft, its development and use. The next chapter summarizes in detail the accidents in combat and training formations, followed by the marking and camouflage used. There is no shortage of pilots' memories of this machine and its features. In the book you will find a list of all aircraft according to production numbers and a brief description of the service. The publication also includes detailed drawings and color side views.

A4, 272 pages, both parts in one publication, approx. 370 photos, 24 color previews of the machine. 54 color photographs of details of the S-199 and CS-199 machines from the Kbely museum, including the interior of the machine. 25 pages of detailed drawings. Text in Czech/English. Hard binding!

Hi all,
Does anyone know if this is a reprint of the previous Jakob twin-books on the Mezek; or is it a revised second edition?
