Loosing valuable websites
I was looking at http://www.ww2.dk/ and wanted to get to Tony Wood's site; gone, and the Wayback Macine appeared to have nothing. Many good sites are disappearing, including Bob Baxters. has anyone backed up any of their info?

Re: Loosing valuable websites
If you're looking to download Tony Wood's claims lists, this worked for me just a few minutes ago:

Re: Loosing valuable websites
Thanks for the reply. I had found that but can't remember now if that is all that was on Tony Wood's original site.

Re: Loosing valuable websites
I believe it is, though others would probably know better than I.

Re: Loosing valuable websites
You can go to the Wayback Machine and trigger an archiving operation for a website you would like to preserve. It's not 100% but better than nothing.
https://web.archive.org/save/ Also, if you can afford it, donate some money to them, the service isn't free to create and maintain. https://archive.org/donate/ All the best Andreas |

Just ran a save.
Let me know if there are others. All the best Andreas |
Re: Loosing valuable websites
The Wayback Mashine has the Gyges site saved several times.

Re: Loosing valuable websites
I have found that if you rely on the automatic saves they sometimes miss out pieces. In general it is quite good, but always worth forcing a save.
