Hans-Ulrich Kettling

I am sad to report that one of the last 1940 members of I/ZG 76, Hans-Ulrich Kettling (1/ZG 76, POW 15 Aug 40) passed away 24 Mar 11. He and I have been friends for over 30 years.

Hello Chris,

That is very sad news indeed. Though I am still puzzled that he showed up in a I./NJG 1 chronic, listing many confirmed nightfighter crews (some, like Puschnerus only a few weeks, others remaining), I am very grateful that your good and intimate friendship with him is reflected in the wealth of information in your books.

He has reached a very respective age, may he rest in peace!
