Bf 109F-2 5750 II. JG 3 26-Jun-41 Bruchlandung due to severe ground conditions. Ostfront Gen.Qu.6.Abt. (mfm #3)-Vol.5; Prien, et al, Die Jagdfliegerverbände, VI.1, p.118; Prien/Stemmer, II./JG 3, p.400 Hostynne 30% H
Does anyone have this photos in question?

I live in Hostynne, PL in which World War II was a Luftwaffe airfield.

Re: WNr.5750 "schwarze 11" of 5./JG 3

There's a slight 'hiccup' in your quoting this reference, we've used ";" to separate entries in the references field, and p.400 is a text reference. The "photo" refers to two unpublished photos, shot from about 9 & 10 o'clock position (a second photo had turned up since that entry was typed - research is ongoing). Nothing of the airfield is seen, just the belly-landed 109F-2, and ten men examining it (in one photo, in the other, no one). The spinner is light-colored, perhaps yellow. The II Gruppe shield badge is present. A convenitionall-finished aircraft, the gelbe Rumpfband abuts the cross. I can't post photos, so cannot show them here, but send me a PM and I'll forward them if I can.

Hi Guys,

most probably this one??? :)
Do consider only TWO pics here since one is a close up ... eBay auctions, October 2009 and January 2013.

Regards, Franck.

Bf 109F-2 WNr.5750

The pair from 10 o'clock was a new one to me, the other is familiar. There was one more, a darker print, without people, nor any 'inspection' of the Daimler Benz, from about the 8o'clock angle.

Thanks, Franck, for posting those. Hope they help dizzigne.

Hello All,

Thank you for the perfect description GRM!
Effectively, there is a third one and I did completely miss it. Shame on me....
There is quite a background difference between 8 & 10 O'Clock views; but not enough to explain my fault except I've been very bad that day!!!!!!

Well, since the portofolio is complete just two questions:

1/ Who made the link with loss data?
2/ Are we sure it's THE one?

Enjoy it.

Regards, Franck.
