Information concerning loss of Oberfeldwebel Johann Merz - killed 07.01.1944 night fighter

Hi,

Please can anyone provide information on the loss of Oberfeldwebel Johann Merz who was a pilot in a night fighter squadron and was killed on the 7th January 1944?

He was an experienced flier with the EKI and golden flight badge.
