Joachim Wandel's height
 

Dear All,
Do you happen to know Joachim Wandel's height? He was nicknamed 'Gnom', but I don't know whether it was because of his height (he may have actually been quite short, but photos are not always representative, for example, if his interlocutor in the photo was very tall) or for another reason. Do you have access to any document which mentions his height?

Dear Vince,
You may well laugh, but I somehow find him cute and he fascinates me. It's hard to say whether I'm in love with him (I'm in love with Friedrich Rupp, definitely), but Joachim may be what Johannes (another member of this forum) calls my 'love interest'.

Thanks for the response, and a good reason for the interest IMHO. You can't argue the stylishness of Luftwaffe uniforms, that's for sure.

Not only were the uniforms stylish, but, first of all, a lot of the pilots were handsome. :-)

So, nobody seems to know the answer...
