Hi Rolf...

The photos provided are great, but can you provide us with all the markings/numbers/letters etc that can be found on the propeller?

cheers

Hi Peter, Frank,

the only numbers I found are shown on 2 pics (661 and 662) I already posted.
The length of the prop is 180 cm.
The seller told be he bought it from a farmer and the father of the farmer found it close to an German airfield in South Germany called Lechfend). But if this is the truth, who knows

Best regards
Rolf

Hi...

Not sure it would be from a German aircraft, given that it seems to have a yellow blade tip (can't quite make out for certain). I can't say the Luftwaffe never painted their propellor tips, but it would be a very rare occurance in my experience. The only ones that I can recall off-hand that did have painted propellor tips were some of the larger seaplanes.

Regards...

Re: Identification Prop blade

It looks like a VDM blade. I can't make out the number on the root but it looks like:

12-188.8? - That is generally the planform, length, and repair tolerances as well as forming the blade nomenclature.

The rest of my VDM Ersatzteilliste is on microfilm so you will have to wait until I load it up again to check.

I did not know VDM used cyrylic.

Can you point out the cyrylic? I don't see any on it.

Thanks!

All the best,

You are very welcome. I have to slave away at the microfilm reader this weekend.

I will check it out then for you.

All the best,
