Potez Loss Murmansk
Hi, I am looking for any info regarding the loss of a Potez 63(probably a 63.11) in the Murmansk area.
An odd place for one of these I know. Thank you. |
Re: Potez Loss Murmansk
I would look at Romanian AF details/dates etc
|
Re: Potez Loss Murmansk
Probably not Romanian around Murmansk.
If this is based on a claim, I'd consider Pe 2. |
Re: Potez Loss Murmansk
Actually based on an artifact, a rudder. Reputedly found around Titovka (not Titowka)
I have read the Luftwaffe used them in a 'liason' capacity. |

Here is a good website for wrecked Russian, Allied and Axis aircraft in Norway and Finland including the border area with Russia: http://ktsorens.tihlde.org/flyvrak/index.html ...It may be a long shot but it may just help |

Unfortunately no date or anything, just an approximate location and type based on physical evidence, not documentation.
