II/JG53 P51 claims 12 May 1944
Fw. Gugelberger claimed two P51s shot down, shortly after they strafed the train heading to Taunus. Gugelberger was shot down shortly afterward by other P51s, bailing out near Seitzenhahn. Both of Gugelberger's claims were confirmed, but I have not been able to link known US P51 losses to the very specific details Gugelberger recounted in vol. III of the Prien's JG53 history.
Can anyone provide details on the two a/c lost by 354 FG on this date? |
