Bf 109A 6-11 any photos? (+)
Does anyone have photos of Condor Legion' 109 with code 6-11?
Any help or hint where to find would be highly appreciated. Thank You Mansur Mustafin |

This appears to be an elusive Condor Legion example, but I have managed to track down an image of 6-11 on page 38 of "Luftwaffe Camouflage 1935-45" by Alain Fleuret [Kookaburra, 1981]

Could be this the machine in which Lt.Guido Honess was KIA?

Hi Peter
Looking Alain Fleuret"s book page 38, the BF109 depicted is an EMIL version, not a BERTHA, like the "6o11". I will search in my other books to find it, if exist Cheers Quote:

Re: Bf 109A 6-11 any photos? (+)
...the curse of the miscaptioned photo strikes again. A bit of detective work using "Condor, The Luftwaffe in Spain" by Patrick Laureau [Hikoki, 2000] confirms that it is actually Bf109E-3 coded 6-111! The image in the Kookaburra work cuts off the third 1, so the author has captioned it incorrectly as 6-11... sorry about that chaps, back to the drawing board :)
