Memoirs of a Stuka Pilot by Paul-Werner Hozzel

I recently purchased Peter C. Smith's Stuka - Luftwaffe JU 87 Dive-Bomber Units 1939-1941 Volume 1 (Chevron Publishing, 2006). While browsing through it, I came upon a reference to "Memoirs of a Stuka Pilot" by P-W Hozzel (February, 1978).
I would like to obtain a copy of this book. I have used several search engines, but no success. I am hoping one of the members can help me in obtaining a copy....or maybe more information on the book. For example: Publisher's name, IBSN, hardcover or paperback, English version or only German.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks Mike....I ordered it. Gosh, I hope its not a disappointment. At $129, I know I'm in deep trouble with the wife; however, I don't mind being victimized for something worthwhile. I'm convinced this has to be a good book based solely on the fact that Peter C. Smith makes several references to it.
When I went to the website to order the book, I noted that the title was different. I'm wondering if this was the reason I could not get a "hit" on the search engines. Anyway, next week I should have the book. Again, many thanks.

Hi David, you will have to share your thoughts about the quality of the book, with the rest of us!
I too have seen references to this title, and have often wondered about trying to aquire one for myself.
Good luck, and good reading.

PS. You may have to hide your bank statement from the wife!

Best regs,
steve.

Good luck on that, Buddy. My wife reads my mind and knows what I plan to order before I do -- and how much it's going to cost!!

$128.00 sounds a little high, even if it is twenty years old and a rare publication.

How about five bucks to read it, or better yet, print yourself a copy.

Thanks for the moral support. On Saturday, I confessed to my wife that I had "foolishly" spent a $130 on a frivolous book. Although my wife has not yet deveoped the ability to ready my mind like George's wife, I thought it best to tell her of my purchase before the book arrived.(she's gets home from work before I do) Past experience has proven that the punishment is much less prior to the arrival of the purchase then after. Since my wife does all the banking, hiding the bank statement would only delay the inevitable. As for Flitzer's comment about the cost of the book....well, my wife has already made me quite aware of the high cost; however, it was done with a little more energy and anger.

Finally, I promise to share my thoughts on the book with the members.

..oh dear David... the purchase of a rare oop, even 'antiquarian' book should be presented as an 'investment' - nothing foolish about it in these uncertain times..

Set your book habit in context ...

Does your wife ever spend anything on completely non-frivolous "beauty products" (all of of which do exactly what the makers claim, of course) or vitally necessary handbags?
