Regrettably, in Australia the item produces only the following nonsensical reply:

Dear User:

Unfortunately, access to this particular category or item has been blocked due to legal restrictions in your home country. Based on our discussions with concerned government agencies and eBay community members, we have taken these steps to reduce the chance of inappropriate items being displayed. Regrettably, in some cases this policy may prevent users from accessing items that do not violate the law. At this time, we are working on less restrictive alternatives. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause you, and we hope you may find other items of interest on eBay.

Thank You.

This message is being returned with more and more frequency on items, with no apparent pattern that I can see. I've reported some to sellers, without result.

I thoroughly dislike dealing at Ebay, where dubious goods are offered for inflated prices. In this case the systrem shoots itself in the foot, and I won't be able to bid.

However, I'd appreciate it if someone could post a brief description of what is on offer, and the seller's id. RAF photos of the FE in 1941-42 are for example extremely rare.

Hello Don,

I understand your frustration about eBay. I share it with you, but then I wonder how much history might end up in the dust bin without it. In any case, here is the info you asked for: the seller's id is exrcr (he is in Canada). The items belonged to Sergeant Alfred Howard King of 335 Squadron. Photos include various shots of the crew of a Liberator called "Dauntless Donald." Documents preared by King include ORB, names, service numbers, crew lists, casualty details and operational details for the period 1944-45, and aerial photos of named targets. There is an original tunic worn by King also offered.

If you would like to provide an e-mail address, I could attempt to contact the seller and pass it on to him if you are unable.

Regards,
Ed
