Help with parts ID

Looking for aircraft that had the following part installed:

VDM
Geräte Nr. 3-2505 D-0
WNr. 2951

Just the type is sufficient, no further details needed.

Hello Norbert,

Could it be 8- instead of 3-? 8- would be typical for Luftwaffe electrical equipment (10- for life saving equiment, 127- for instruments, 9- for propeller, etc.) I don't know 3-, which doesn't mean it didn't exist.

VDM is a propeller manufacturer, but that's surely no news to you.

Some years ago an Austrian author sold some books with Fl- and Geraete-Nr. lists that would quite probably mention 8-2505. Do you have a photo of this item?

Unfortunately no photo (yet). It is most likely a part of a Junkers W 34. I did not want to mention this, not to contaminate the research. Thanks for the input, I will see if I can find the pub.
