Hi !

Trying to check some information I received regarding this plane which possibly crashed in France or Luxembourg - with pilot Lt.Franke.
Who has more details about this crash ?

Hello Luc,

Here is what I have:

7./KG53 Heinkel He111H. Aircraft abandoned under attack by Adj Hôtellier, Sgt Joire, and Sgt Bompain of GC I/4 and crashed at Ell, west of Redange, 5.30 a.m. Possibly also attacked by Potez 63 of GAO 2/520 (S/Lt Teissier, Capt de Devise, and Sgt Terse) of GAO 2/520 near Martelange. Fl-Stab-Ing. E. Issel (of Erp.Stelle Rechlin) baled out over Olizy and killed. Uffz W. Wolf baled out over Stenay and captured unhurt. Lt Franke captured wounded. Uffz Engelmann captured unhurt. Aircraft a write-off.
