RAF units over Madagascar
 
Hello
Someone can tell me the list of the RAF units using stations over Madagascar during WWII?
I kwon that two units, one using Lysander an the other using Hurricane, were on Madagascar Island.

Lysanders used by No 1433 Flight at Ivato.

I read on a french book that there was a meteorological unit using Hurricane on a malagazy airfield.
Someone know something about that?

RAF squadrons which operated from Madagascar during WW2 were as follows.

From Diego Suarez....209 - 259 - 265.

From Majunga....204.

From Tulear....209 - 230 - 259 - 262 - 265.

thanks for answer. I find recently a article on "Fana de l'aviation" speaking about Hurricane.They were located on Diégo-Suarez (andrakaka airfield) Airfield and used by the 1568 meteo flight.After The british departure, they were given to the french air forces.
If you know them serial number and the type, I will be very happy.
