Unfortunately I had to suspend a member for breach of forum protocol.

Although I am a strong believer in laissez-faire that does not mean that our forum is a medium to express private frustration in an offensive manner (however interesting the general subject may be).

I take no pleasure from this action.

Here are some clues:

• He has a thing for brightly-colored toy aeroplanes.
• He once tried to sell a personal letter from Adolf Galland on eBay for $10,000 (amazingly, there were no takers.)
• If you were to go down to the Pig & Whistle for bangers and mash, he'd be the least likely person you'd encounter.
• He was booted off the old forum as well.

Really, I do not take any pride in having taken this action, in fact I see it as a failure. If people just use their common sense and know when to stop or at least change their tack you would never need any moderating action, let alone the banning of community members.
