Loss of Lancaster PB-687 of 626 Sqn
Hello,
I'm looking after some information about the loss of Lancaster PB-687 of 626 Sqn lost on the 31 of December 1944/01 of January 1945. The aircraft crashed in Belgium. Database of Army Museum says "Attenhoven" (area of Saint-Trond) as crashlocation and other sources say "Liège". Crew: F/O Beattie R.O. RCAF F/O Benoit F.J. Sgt Harrison H. F/O Warren A.L. RCAF F/O McWilliam K.A. RCAF Sgt Austin K.H. (KIA) Sgt Casey T.A. RCAF (KIA) F/O Pogson W.H. RCAF (KIA) The 3 crewmemners who got killed are buried at Hotton war Cemetery.
