Re: fw190a-8 camouflage
Hi:
In Wings of the Black Cross Number 3, published by Eagle Editions and authored by myself, there is a clear photo of Red 2 with camouflaged gear doors. The photo on page 11 and further profiled on page 36 depicts an A-8 from Luftflotte 4 with what appears to be hand brushed RLM 83 over the leading edge of the wings and large portions of the gear doors. Also from Mark's work, In Number Four of the series available from Eagle Editions Ltd. on page 9, is FW 190 F-8 Yellow 2. Which is an interesting Wurger, Painted 74/75/76 with shades of 75 on the gear doors. A most interesting Bird. The great thing is a beauty of a colored profile of this can be found on page 34, With gear down for your viewing pleasure.

Yes, Number Five in the series is well on its way and close to being wrapped up. I am also glad to say that I have got quite a head start on Number Six lately! Mark Proulx |
