The third Bf 109 - picture (...2162) seems to be an real forgery. The given dimensions correspond perfectly with the dimensions in the book "Die Jagdfliegerverbände der Deutschen Luftwaffe 1934 bis 1945" volume 3, p. 141 ( on the right side the Ebay - pic was shorten). I own the original (an copy I had given Mr. Prien to publish in his book). The original dimensions were 8,5 x 5,4 cm (he himself shorted the right side - the left side too - because on the original is an small mistake on the pic. (I'd guess "sudek13" offer 300,- Euro?)

He began with Hahn, at the jg2, interesting it's also on the batch a pic of a bf109ftrop of the jg53 in Afrika, Meimberg was in afrika with part of jg2 in january 43 so....

this photo shows the pilots from 11/JG2 prior to departure to Africa. This staffel was commanded by Olt.Julius Meimberg and later became part of JG53. Regards Robert |
