Looking for info on a Luftwaffe pilot Hello All, Thanks for looking... I am attempting to find information on a Luftwaffe fighter pilot by the name of Wolfgand Nidda or possibly, von Nidda. He is the grand uncle of a friend of mine, who told me that his grand uncle flew Fw 190's during the second world war. The elder Nidda (or Nida?) passed away within the last month or so in Germany, having spent his post war career as an Engineer. My friend is a member of a branch of the family that had emigrated to the USA in 1938. To my understanding, he is reported to have ended the war as a Leutnant, with previous service as an an enlisted fighter pilot, all in units unknown. From what I have been able to determine, he apparently speant at least some of his in the west flying against the RAF & USAAF. Any information would be most appreciated, regarding his units, service history and whatever information turns up. Thanks in advance. Marty Sanford |

There are links there that should lead yoy to files that list all know LW claims. You should be able to find what you need in there. Jim P. sent me here when I had a similar question. There are plenty of names to go through, but I bet he's there somewhere. -Brian |
