What can one say? Well done, congratulations? Reading this brought a tear to my eye and a lump in my throat. We, who haven't been involved in such conflict, just can't imagine such images of death.

Great work
Cheers
Brian

Salut Dan,

An excellent detailed work, for Czechoslovak historians and people quite new. You set up the puzzle of Moravek´s story what "finnished" (not only for me) with former constatation he was last seen alive after f/l. It was speculated he was executed by Germans as a traitor. That is Czechoslovak airmen did not have a status POW because their/my country was annexed as part of Third Reich in 1939.
It is terrible to read the details about burned and for a long time not buried body however is it not a first example of such event.

Regards,
Michal

Good evening,
Indeed, the many testimonies say well qu'Emil died in his plane.
I wrote the horrific details because I promised to witnesses to tell the story with absolute sincerity and explain their feelings and emotions .
This horrible deaths and émotion explains why people from the village wanted forcefully that his memory be honored and his recognition by French Air Force!
The same emotion I was also greatly affected .

Recently, one other picture from the Curtiis N°11 from Emil was sold on Ebay, i obtain the thumbnail by a friend, but i can't publish it on my page for Copyright reason ...
Best Regards, Dan
