Luftwaffe ground losses 23/24th July 1940

Dear all,

In the night of 23/24th July 1940 a hangar at Bergen airfield (The Netherlands) was succesfully bombed by a Whitley of the RAF.

According to the KTB of the Führungsstab Ic ObdL the next German aircraft were lost as a result of a fire in the hangar:
1 Junkers W 34
1 Arado Ar.66
1 Heinkel He.70
1 Caudron
1 Koolhoven

Is there any trace of the identity of these aircraft such as Werknummer, codes and units in the survinving documents?

Thanks in advance for your effort,

Hans Nauta

Dear Remi,

Thanks for your reaction.
The losses of III/JG54 were already known to me, 1 Bf.109 100 % loss and 2 Bf.109 damaged for 10%, amongst which Schwarze 12 of 8./JG54.

The entry of the 4 Reise machinen has puzzled me for a long time and finally I had some confirmation from the KTB Führungsstab ObdL, hence my query for the identities of these aircraft.

Thanks anyway for your effort and contribution!

Hans Nauta
