B-24 - 41.29130

hello,

on the 24.02.1944 this B-24 H-1-CF, 445th BG-701st BS, was shot down by german fighter. I am searching for the name of the pilot.

Pilot was 1Lt Sidney D Swanson.

hello,

Have you the time of the combat ?
That would help narrow down the number of a/c.
take a look at the Tony Wood lists for the 24th february 1944 , there were very many losses. Or try the www.luftwaffe.cz the Luftwaffe Fighter Pilots claimsare in there I think.

the crash was at 12:45 o´clock that day, the combat a little earlier I think.
