Combat JG51 and 1 FG Gabes 11 jan 43

Hi All,
Anyone have any info on a combat between P-38's and 109's / 190's of JG51 in the Gabes area, Tunisia.

claims from the excellent tony woods site,

11.01.43 Ofw. Otto Schultz 4./JG 51 P-38

11.01.43 Ltn. Ralph Furch 5./JG 51 P-38

but were there any JG51 losses ?

anyone know any details on the a/c Shultz and Furch were flying.

Hi Jerry,

No aircraft of II./J.G. 51 were damaged or lost in this combat.

Schultz and Furch were both flying the Bf 109 G-2 Trop.
