Rudel's Stuka markings
I've seen Rudel's Ju-87g depicted with a bright green spinner and white spiral, does anyone know of any evidence to support that?
Thanks in advance. |
Re: Rudel's Stuka markings
A B&W photograph of Rudel's Junkers JU 87 G-2 (WNr.494193) is shown in Peter C. Smith's Stuka Volume Two (Chevron Publishing) on page 188. This photo clearly reveals a spinner with a dark background and a white spiral. The color plate beneath the B&W photo references the spinner to be black with a white spiral; however, one could argue that it is possible that the black could be black-green (ie. RLM 70). I don't think the term "bright green" could be used to describe this particular spinner. Hope this helps.
