Help with He-111 losses needed
 

Can anyone help with identifying He-111 lost or damaged near Narva on 8 February 1944 11:55 Moscow time?

Hello!

AFAIK the only unit in the Luftflotte 1 area flying He 111 was 14.(Eis)/KG 55.

Luftflotte 1 Tagesmeldung for Feb 8th, 1944 gives 3 missions by Long range reconnaissance planes. Others are ground attack, close range reconnaissance, fighter or minesweeping missions. 14.(Eis) flew mainly railway transport reconnaissance and attacked targets of opportunity. So it is plausible that it there was indeed their He 111 flying at the area that day. Feb 8th weather was apparently lousy, many of the ground attack planes broke their missions.

Luftflotte 1 losses given for the date are 2 Ju 87 and 1 Fi-156 (on missions).
