Not of Indian (or Commonwealth) origin as he doesn't appear on the CWGC*. I've done a date search in case the name was misspelt but found nothing. Nor is he listed on the Polish War Memorial.

*of course there is the occassional ommission

Hi Alex,

Your man is Raymond Alexandre Georges Nadon, R69392 and J17915. Born in Canada. He flew with the 122 Sqn in 1941-42, later in Malta with 185 Sqn and back in UK with 403 Sqn in 1944-45. He survived war.

Hope this helps,
Michal

Hello Michal,

Many thanks for your reply.

It is Good news for once.

It explaines the reason I could not find him in any cemetery lists.

And without 122 Sqn documents Asked here.

What are your references to the fact that he survived please ?

Alex

Alex,

I have a part of the 122 Sqn ORB for 1942 period, there is a mention about this man in Belgian book Circus 157, and Chris Shores has him in Those Other Eagles too.

Hmmmm... I have his name as; sgt M.M. Nathan, 122 sqdn.
during convoy patrol AB859 struck sea and disintegrated. pilot killed.

Hope this does not thicken the plot to much.

Mervyn.
