Luftwaffe Loss over England - Uffz. A. Kaltenhauser

hi,

Could anyone provide nformation concerning Uffz. Alois Kaltenhauser. He was a bordfunker in a bombing squadron. He was lost in a night attack against London on the 1st October 1940. Can anyone provide details of aircraft and specific squadron.

With thanks

Rick

Rick,

Uffz Alois KALTENHAUSER was Bordfunker aboard the Junkers Ju88A (3085) of 5./KG51 that crashed on take-off from Villaroche on October 1, 1940. He was originally buried at Meaux but later reinterred in Fort-de-Malmaison, Block 5, Row 32, Grave 1466.

Thanks Peter,

Your information is very useful. I have many reference books including the Battle of Britain and the Blitz Then & Now plus several other JG reference books but it is difficult finding specific information.

I buy Luftwaffe sterbebild where the crew could have been lost over England. I try to do a little research on each one. Please find attached word document as example.

Can you help with those that have no other details?

With thanks

Rick

Thanks Peter

Look forward to your new book.

Will there be details over Luftwaffe losses and crew members in this new publication?

Rick

Hello Rick,

Yes the book includes the details of some 1814 Luftwaffe aircraft & 3278 German aircrew known to have become casualties on the western front between September 3, 1939, and June 24, 1940, so it should prove useful to you.
