Unknown Electrical ID on Me109 Control Panel...
Hi!
I have seen 2 G-10 cockpits with the electrical ID of "D108" on the upper right side of the control panel. From what I know "D" refers to "heating". To the left of the ID is something odd as well. Not sure if it is a plate missing, or part of a plug? Any thoughts on what this is? It is not on anything other aircraft (including K)... http://www.geocities.com/mr-bigg@sbcglobal.net/D108.jpg http://www.geocities.com/mr-bigg@sbc....net/D108a.jpg |

Re: Unknown Electrical ID on Me109 Control Panel...
The foto you have of the Chino Bf 109G-10 was taken after someone removed the D-108 terminal block. Attached is a foto taken earlier. Consulting the G-10 Handbuch, the elt. section says that it was the same as the G-5 with changes for the DB 605D engine and addition of windscreen heating. The location and heavy wiring would seem to indicate this was the connection for windscreen heating.
