Book about bombing of Beograd /Belgrad in 1941?
 

Hi there,

i wan't to know, if there is any good book or article about the bombing of Belgrad in 1941? It doesn't matter which language it is (i. e. serbian).

There is some articles published here in Serbia but all in Serbian.

Hi Jens!

Bozidar Kostic (LtCol, Commander of 6th fighter regiment of RYAF in April War, defended Belgrade from the air): Plamen nad Beogradom (Fire over Belgrade), Beograd, 1991. The same book published also in 1946 and 1978 in Germany as 'Dva dana borbe u vazduhu za Beograd' (Two days of Air Battles for Belgrade).

I forgot one more title: Dragan Kljakic, 'Oni su branili Beograd' (They defended Belgrade), Zagreb, 1980.

There is a page or so in Wolfgang Dierich's Kampfgeschwader Edelweiss (Motorbuch Verlag, Stuttgart 1973). In the English version (published by Ian Allan) the translator added a footnote to say that the account given glossed over what was essentially a teror attack.
