Maj Horst Höfele, NJG 1 & NJG 5

Does anyone have any details on the career of the above nightfighter pilot? He had 3 claims with III/NJG 1 in Jul & Aug 44 and then became Gr Kdr of IV/NJG 5 from Oct 44-Apr 45. Apparently his Bf was Oblt Walter Scheel, later to become Bundespräsident, and Scheel was at some stage Gr Adj of III/NJG 1
