Mosquito 4th January 1944
 
Hello

Hptm. Klaus Quaet-Faslem,Stab I./JG 3, claimed a victory against a mosquito on the 4th of January 1944 west of Amiens. Three youg guys saw it crashed in a small village. Any idea regarding this plane and unit?

Most likely MM232 of 544 Squadron, a reconnaissance unit. Flt/Sgt Bartley (RNZAF) KIA, F/Sgt Perman PoW.

Do you know the name of this village ? It was said loss in the Poix-de-Picardie area.

Prien's I/JG 3 book lists this victory as a B-17!?
