F/O E.R. Rognan, RCAF, 408 Sqdn?, 27/04/1944

Hello all,

A Dutch source, Slagveld Sloedam, mentions 'Rognan, UK, No. 208 Sqn Lancaster DS-719, died Wissenkerke (Zeeland province, Netherlands), MIA'

The CWGC lists: Flying Officer Everett Raymond Rognan, RCAF J/24589, 408 Sqdn., age 23, 27/04/1944, missing (Runnymede Memorial)
Son of Albert and Bina Rognan, of Erickson, Manitoba, Canada.

I suppose these two are the same person. Who knows more?

Regards,

Bart

I also have an interest in this crash as I am researching the fate of W/O2c Graham Frederic Butson, RCAF, the bomb aimer. He was a student at Malvern Collegiate in Toronto.

William Chorley originally listed the code for this a/c incorrectly. He has since amended it to "EQ-Q" of 408 Sqn. It was claimed by Major Schnaufer as his 59th kill.
