Eagle Editions acquires Monogram

Eagle Editions Ltd. proudly announces the acquisition of one of the foremost, leading aviation publishing companies, Monogram Aviation Publications. We now own the logo, domain name and copyrights to this prestigious publication house.

Please be advised that we have not acquired any inventory of back listed titles, as they are all out of print; however, we may in the future offer some reprints of past titles if warranted.

Among the first titles we will release is the long awaited, much anticipated book Ta 152 by Thomas H. Hitchcock.

We will revise and add to the book with new information prior to printing. While we don't have a final date, we plan to release this title as soon as possible.

Be sure to watch our website for information as it develops.

If you favored Monogram with a pre-paid purchase of this title, you will soon receive a letter regarding your order. If you have any questions, please contact Eagle not Monogram and we will be most happy to assist you in answering your questions.
We know you welcome this addition to our family. Thank you for your continued support of our products.

Bravo! I believe I speak for the community of aviation historians that this is good news indeed. I do hope that all the people who had previously worked for Monogram were on board for this.

Congratulations,
Ed

I have ordered - and prepaid - the Ta 152 book nearly three years ago.

I shall wait exclaiming "Bravo" until I´ll have news about my expenses.

Not intending to be too sceptical I´m afraid my money is gone...

Regrads

Hello,

Nothing urgent to reply to, but will the book include the short wing version? A photo of some examples appeared on this site some time ago.

Regards,
Ed

This is great news! Just a little question, as Luftwaffe modeller, what about a reedition of the monograms Luftwaffe color guide?
Thx in advance,

Dirk

Add another pre-paid customer.

Hope Monogram's/your administration is complete!

:o

PS. will the Ta 152 book still be printed in the Monogram style (which I like(d) very much) or the Eagle Edition style (which is very luxurious, but a little less to my liking than Monogram's)? No criticism intended, just a question on "house styles".

Kinda sorry to see Monogram disappear as an independent publisher.
Three cheers for Thomas and his great work!!!

Re: Eagle Editions acquires Monogram

Hi all; At this point, we will probably continue the Monogram feel with a little Eagle here and there ! Since we both use the same Hong Kong printing firm, there will be no change in the quality of production. The Ta 152 book and the subsequent 109 series will continue in the Monarch tone for the most part. They will all look 'good' on the shelf together - I love that!
Note to Ed West - yes, short wing version included!
Cheers, and back to work,
Judy

Re: Eagle Editions acquires Monogram

Thank you Judy. After posting my question I was afraid it might be taken as unintended criticism. In the case of Monogram, it is nice to know that it's new titles will not look out of place with it old ones. That a little Eagle is thrown in, it will probably look even better in the art department.

So You are planning to continue the line, because I had some worries about the announced Bf 109 titles.

One last question, will Eagle continue Monogram's focus on the technical, including performance details?

Happy Easter!
