Walter Schuck and Bergstrom

All this might have happened a while ago, but I was curious as to what became of Bergstrom's proposed book on Walter Schuck? Last I heard he and Schuck were working together on the biography. Then, all of a sudden, the website advertising the book disappeared and it was never mentioned again. Schuck's own autobiography of his life then appeared in German. Does anyone know exactly what happened, or is it just none of my business.

Interesting. Amazon is offering a pre publication offer, as of Aug 30, 3008 of:
Luftwaffe Eagle: 206 Combat Victories in the Me 109 and Me 262

by Walter Schuck (Hardcover - Dec 2008)

Yeah, that's Schuck's own autobiography. I was just curious as to what happened to Bergstrom's own book he was writing. I emailed him a while ago, and got a very rude response. Maybe there was some kind of falling out.....

Not surprising, he probably felt cheated out of a nice fat book deal by Schuck!

Well, strong words that could be offensive towards Schuck.

Why should Schuck be offended, he published his bio, good for him.

Well, cheated out suggests that Schuck played unfair.

I'm stating what I think Christer Bergstrom must have felt in case he lost that book project, responding to krichter33's remark about getting a rude reply from the author.

If that didn't come through, so be it, as English is not my native tongue.

Lets say that this covers the issue sufficiently Franek, don't you think?

Can anyone advise if Walter Schuck used the information in his book on the ID of his victories?

Well, he could have felt bitter. Neither me and you knows, why the project dropped. Your post suggests, that the fault is on Schuck's side, more, that he played unfair. That is all.
