RAF claims for 23/10/43.
 

Hello all.

Trying to find information on 2 RAF claims by 66 Sqn. pilots for Fw190s during an ASR sortie to the Ile de Batz area, 23/10/43. Uffz.Fuchs & Uffz.Nozika both of 12./JG2 were shot down into the sea at Pl.Qu.4087/15 West (North of Lannion).

I have tried to locate the combat reports for 66Sqn. on that date in The National Archives but without luck. Has anyone these reports or the ORB entry for that date? I am seeking the Spitfire pilots names and details of the circumstances of the combats.

F/Lt John Arthur George Jackson, at 1125, in Spit Vb AA839, CR: Air 50/26-300&301. 10 m N of Ile de Batz

F/Lt George Elcombe, at 1125, in Spit Vb BL583, CR: Air 50/26-24&25. 10 m N of Ile de Batz.

Both claimed FW-190s.
