Hello,

I'm not 100% sure if 216 Squadron was flying missions between Freetown and Egypt in this period, but the chance it did is pretty big. See the 'sources' on the page linked for more information.

Bart

Hello Gaynako,

I found this interesting information: BBC - WW2 People's War - Jack Burgin's Photograph Album.

Didn't study all photos, but he was in WW2 a 216 Squadron member, and at least one of the photos is taken in Freetown.

Regards,

Bart
