P-47D 42-26061, 36. FG
Gentlemen,
is there anything known about the crash place and the pilot of P-47 42-26061 of 36.FG, lost on 07.10.1944? Thanks in advance A. Heuser |
Re: P-47D 42-26061, 36. FG
A.,
According the MACR lists 36th FG lost two P-47s on 7 Oct 1944: 42-26061 and 42-26469. Both serials don't appear on footnote.com yet, but what's interesting is that the aad.archives.gov website gives two POWs of 36th FG that day as well (just toy a bit with the search parameters): 2nd Lt William M. Young III and 2nd Lt Herbert M. Carr Jr. Couldn't find more... Regards, Leendert |
