Air Force Cross

Hi guys

Please excuse my continued ignorance!

I have a colour photograph of a group of WWII and postwar medals which includes the AFC. On the ribbon of the AFC is a small silver rosette. What does this signify, please?

Hi Brian,

the rosette signifies a Bar to the AFC, just like on the DSO and DFC.
