Interesting fate of Bf110E-2's of 1./SKG 210 photo.
Also: I found a fate of 2 Bf110E-2/Trop's, captured on well known serie of pictures in flight.
It is beleived it shows summer 1941 flight over Ostfront, consist of: Unknown (photographer), S9+EH, S9+GH, S9+FH. Theese images are taken from many different books or from Internet: Image 1 Image 2 Image 3 Image 4 Image 5 Also, I beleive "Bf110 flight", captioned on page 28 of Squadron-Signal "Zerstorer in action" are not Bf110C-4/B (modification I beleive never existed) as noted, but are the same I./SKG 210 in-flight photo, from the serie mentioned above. From John Vasco's losslist: 28-07-41: Bf 110 E-2, S9+EH, 4443. Fw. Heinrich Kücke (KiA), Uffz. Johann Guse (KiA). Did not return from combat mission against Wjasma airfield. South of Mitina (Mitino - Митино). Bf 110 E-2, S9+GH, 4465. Uffz. Arthur Luttringer (KiA),Gefr. Wilhelm Keim (PoW), Did not return from combat mission against Wjasma (Vyazjma - Вязьма) airfield. Keim died in captivity on 29/6/42. 10 Kms. west of Mitina (Mitino - Митино). About 28.07.1941 action: Group of MiG-3's of 401 iap claimed 3 Bf110 shot down, last - shred between 3 pilots (actual Bf110 losses were only 2): 28.07.1941 08:45 Ptk. Avilov Personal 1 Bf-110 401 iap MiG-3 28.07.1941 08:45 Ml.Ltn. Tzibenko Personal 1 Bf-110 401 iap MiG-3 28.07.1941 08:45 Ml.Ltn. Tzibenko Shared 3 1 Bf-110 401 iap MiG-3 Area if claims: Yartzevo (Ярцево)- Dukhovschina (Духовщина). Details provided by: Mikhail Bykov, Aleksey Pekarsh. 03-08-41 Bf 110 E-2, S9+FH, 4452. Fw. Gerhard Saretzki, Ogefr. Heinz Schulte. Shot down on combat mission. Both crewmen returned to unit. Pridnepowskaja. ------------- So, interestingly, all 3 captured Bf110 on images were shot down in very short period one after another. ------------- I will ask some claims about 03-08-41. |
