Oblt Hermann Horstmann
 

The above was killed in action with 13/KG 40 in Dec 43. However, he had previously flown with 3(F)/121 and 2(F)/22. Does anyone have any record of him with these 2 recce units?

I have the following but unfortunately no record of the source or how accurate it is.

What I have matches yours-my source is his Record of Service from BA. However, I believe he was promoted to Oblt 1 Dec 41, 7 Dec 41 he went to (F)/12, 23 Apr 42 to Zerstoererschule 2 at Memmingen and then to V/KG 40 12 Jan 1943

The "usual" source says Vermisst, hv you more on the ultimate fate of this man ??

Hi Chris,

It must be the same source as the info is identical, though I can't remember how I acquired it as I didn't get it direct from the BA.
