Major Georg Dörffel KIA 26.05.44
 

Hi,

Does anyone have further details regarding the loss of Major Dörffel (Kommodore) SG4 who was killed on the 26.05.44. Only details I have is that after combat with 4 engined bombers he had to bale out of his Fw 190 and it is assumed he hit the horizontal stabilizer with his head, he did not open his parachute. Does anyone have the NVM regarding the loss, aircraft sub-type, Wnr. etc????
