Unteroffizier Lange

Hello Alain

I have:

18 October 1939: Unteroffizier Lange of 1./JG 21 suffered an accident while starting Bf 109 D-1 at Celle, 80%

Could this be your guy? Remember that I./JG 21 was redesignated III./JG 54 on 6 July 1940. There is one loss in III./JG 54 on the date you mention:

19 November 1940: Unteroffizier Theodor Steinwendtner of 7./JG 54 killed during emergency landing due to engine damage at Katwijk am Rhijn

I hope this may help.

Horrido!

Leo

Hi

Leo, your Infos are not right. Steinwendtner hat on the 19.11.1940 only a emergency landing, he was killed on the 14.07.1941 in a crash at Seddin, near Stolp.

Uffz. Günther Range was from the 5.Staffel II./JG 54 and land at Oostende after a fight over England, black 4. The loss was on the 17.11.1940.

Corrections

Hello Christian

Many thanks for the corrections. I was using Rösipal's list which although a nice source does have some errors. Any corrections are greatly appreciated.

Horrido!

Hi

Günters lists are good, in parts. We try to make a new list, but he died in a short time.

Range was save, he died 1944.
