Oblt Helmut Thomas Strobl 05.09.40

Hi,

Can anyone confirm the place of burial for Oblt Helmut Thomas Strobl shot down on the 05.09.40 near Appledore Station, Kent. His remains were recovered 46 years after he went missing on the 05.09.86. Cannot find any details on the German War Graves site under the name Strobl. Any help greatly appreciated.

Regards

Melvin

He was buried on 5 September 1987 at Kolbnitz near the family home in Austria. In fact, he was born on 5 September, passed his flying pilots licence on 5 September, was shot down and killed on 5 September, his remains were found on 5 September 1986 and he was buried with military honours on 5 September 1987.
