Sounds like you need "Air War Italy 1944–45" by Beale, D'Amico & Valentini (Airlife, 1996) for the claims after 1 June 1944.

James,

Gary Pape's book, "Queen of the Midnight Sky" ,the definitive history of USAAF night-fighters and squadrons has all the information you require.
I sent you a personal message.

Thanks but All this info comes from either Queen of the Midnight Skies or Air War over Italy or the KG 200 book or this site. I was wondering if anyone had any more info on the claims of these units ect.

Mr. Pratt,

First, I agree that "Queen of the Midnight Skies" is THE book about USAAF night fighters. Really good book.

Second, I can answer most stuff regarding the 417th. I'm the author of "Beaufighters in the Night" mentioned above.

It's probably not perfect, but it's a good effort at that unit.

Cheers,
Brick

Well quite lot of people did afford it and trust me, the price of the book was nothing compared to what it cost us to write it.
