Circumstances of death of Dipl. Ing. Richard Alker?

I found the following piece of information in a Rumanian document:
"Dipl. Ing. Richard Alker died [in 1941] while testing a new type of aircraft".
Does anyone know the circumstances of his death [possibly in Rumania]?
